What you will do
- Lead the development and implementation of long-term resource management strategies that align with the company's growth objectives
- Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast future resource needs based on business goals, project pipelines and market trends
- Provide strategic insights to executive management on optimising resource utilisation and scaling operations efficiently
- Ensure optimal allocation of people, financial and physical resources across all business units and departments
- Monitor, track, and report on resource availability, utilisation and allocation to ensure maximum productivity and alignment with business goals
- Implement data-driven decision-making to anticipate bottlenecks and allocate resources proactively
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between teams to streamline processes, resolve resource conflicts and improve operational outcomes
- Support workforce planning processes, including hiring, capacity forecasting, and resource levelling, to ensure business continuity
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to develop staffing plans that align with budgets and project demands
- Develop and implement resource management tools and processes that enhance transparency, communication, and efficiency across the organisation
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor resource utilisation, project progress and overall operational efficiency
- Manage the resource management budget, ensuring that all resource allocation decisions are financially sustainable
- Partner with Finance to provide resource forecasts and budgeting recommendations to the leadership team
- Identify and mitigate risks related to resource shortages, skill gaps, and over-allocation, ensuring business continuity
- Implement contingency planning to address potential disruptions in resource availability
Requirements
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in resource management, preferably within a marketing or creative agency
- You have proven experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) systems and technology platform management
- You have demonstrated experience working with various product departments (e.g., Strategy, Creative, Paid, Organic) and understand their operational requirements
- You have experience in an integrated agency environment and understand specialist roles and delivery requirements
- You have previous experience in an operational department with a focus on lean scheduling and capacity forecasting
- You have a flexible and proactive attitude, championing change and innovation
- You exhibit strong teamwork and integration skills, working effectively across various teams and regions
- You apply forward-thinking and conflict-resolution abilities to address complex challenges
- You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate insights and drive engagement
- You have mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to provide optimum support
