What you will do
- Responsible for the end-to-end customer invoicing process, issuing accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner
- Verify billing information, including: customer details, service descriptions, and pricing
- Record new contracts and commercials into the central billing system
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer accounts, billing information, and payment histories
- Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries promptly and professionally
- Contribute to the Finance Team’s month-end close process by carrying out sales reconciliation to verify total amounts invoiced correspond to our management information
- Processing manual journals to accrue and defer revenue inline with revenue recognition and/or work completed
- Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure accurate billing
- Generate regular billing reports and summaries for management review
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and documents as needed
- Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies and procedures
- Support the credit control process by contacting clients to chase for overdue invoices
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments
- Send reminders and statements to customers regarding overdue payments
- Update and maintain billing systems and databases to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in the implementation and testing of new billing software and system upgrades
Requirements
- You have previous experience in a billing, accounting, or a finance role
- You’re familiar with billing software and financial management systems eg. Xero, Sage, Quickbooks
- You have strong numerical and analytical skills
- You have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- You’re proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- You’re a strong communicator with interpersonal skills
- You must handle sensitive information confidentially
