What you will do
- Develop and execute outreach strategies, crafting personalized pitches to secure quality media coverage and links
- Write and refine press materials, media pitches, and supporting documents to align with client objectives
- Monitor and analyze PR performance metrics to optimize campaign effectiveness and inform strategy
- Manage proactive and reactive media opportunities, including newsjacking and campaign planning
- Provide actionable insights through link gap analysis and audience targeting strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
- Collaborate with SEO, Content, and Social teams to align PR with marketing strategies
- Use PR tools and analytics platforms to track campaign performance and outreach success such as Buzzstream, Muckrack, Qwoted, BuzzSumo, Ahrefs, and more
- Present reports and recommendations to clients with confidence and clarity
- Continuously refine outreach strategies to improve response rates and placements
- Evolve team workflows and reporting processes
- Stay updated on industry trends and media landscape changes to inform PR strategies
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members as needed
Requirements
- You have a minimum 3 years of experience in PR, media relations, or a related field (preferably in an agency)
- You have strong media relations skills with a proven track record of securing media placements
- You possess excellent writing and editing skills with experience in crafting press materials and pitches
- You can analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- You’re proficient in PR tools and analytics platforms
- You have strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- You can work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- You have experience with integrated campaigns across PR, SEO, Content, and Social
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to media opportunities
- You’re detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities
- You’re all over industry trends and audience targeting strategies
