What you will do
- Develop, implement and maintain Journey Further policies to align with objectives and culture
- Establish effective processes for managing issues with conduct and capability
- Create programmes to educate managers and leaders on HR policy and best practice
- Create an employee onboarding and management process for the UK and US, utilising HiBob
- Develop policies to improve employee experience and employer brand whilst mitigating risk
- Manage workplace conflict through effective dispute resolution
- Create a resolution-focused ER culture to improve business outcomes
- Ensure legal compliance and adherence to best practice while implementing workforce-related initiatives to mitigate risk
- Provide guidance to all employees, managers and leaders, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards of practice
- Work with managers to develop workforce strategies, improve relations, engagement and productivity, and provide constructive solutions to challenges
- Support the resolution of all employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinaries, appeals, performance management, and capability issues
- Analyse trends by monitoring and reporting on workforce data and succession planning to drive appropriate action
- Use and embed HiBob (and other tech) to improve HR process, employee experience and business efficiencies
- Work with the People Director to drive key strategic initiatives across a range of areas including DEI and ESG
Requirements
- You have a solid understanding of UK employment legislation
- You have CIPD Level 5 or above
- You can apply and interpret employment law in a range of situations and mitigate risk to the business
- You can influence and manage at all levels
- You can inspire and motivate company-wide positive change
- You are an outstanding communicator who builds trust and relationships at all levels in a short space of time
- You have a pioneering mindset
- You take a people-first focus in your work
- You have a passion for continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to develop, evolve and streamline
- You have worked and thrived in a fast-paced, growing and progressive environment, and look to add value every day
- You have experience in a start-up or an SME
